      Camp Kuriakos

On behalf of all of us, we'd like to extend a huge thank you to our team from Summer 2024. We were well-served by these servant-leaders, and their work has helped to extend the Good News to our summer campers. And, this fall will be a busy and beautiful time of year at Kuriakos! Come for three new adult retreats with great guest speakers, and join us for Thanksgiving at the Lake as we honour all our volunteers, and in particular celebrate Pastor Art's service to our community.

Retreat of our Own“Faithful Leading, Faithful Following: Lay Leadership as Discipleship”with Rev. Clara KingSeptember 13-15

Worship By HeartExplore "paperless" worship leadershipOctober 16-18

In the original cultures of the Bible the sacred stories of scripture were experienced as tales told in families and by leaders of the faith community. Music was handed down as melodies taught by heart and caught by ear. Scripture and song as oral events are the way many in the world still experience these fundamentals of worship. At this retreat, learn the fundamentals of Biblical Telling, the art and discipline of expressing with our body, intellect and spirit a Bible text learned by heart. Discover techniques for leading a congregation in “paperless” singing. Worship together by heart.Retreat Leaders:

Linnea Good is a composer, performer, worship leader, accredited biblical storyteller and Christian Educator. She and drummer/spouse David Jonsson live in BC Canada, where she teaches piano and ukulele in her local community and online across the miles.
Kristian Wold is pastor, musician, experienced practicioner of paperless singing, and Executive Director of Kuriakos.
