This link has two parts, one is "Community Links" and the other is "Community Events". Community Links is a series of workshops available for adults and children on topics like mental health, and parenting in general. "Community Events" are events happening in our community.

Anger Awareness (registration deadline December 1, 2023) $100/person
For 18+
Do you lose your temper and do and say things you regret after? The Anger Awareness Workshop provides a non-judgmentalspace where you can get answers to your questions, learn skills to handle this complex emotion, and become empowered to manage anger effectively in your life. Upon the workshop completion, a certificate will be provided.

Discipline Tools for your Preschooler (registration deadline November 30, 2023)
For parents/caregivers of children 18 months - 5 years (Limited free childcare is available).Parenting a preschooler comes with great rewards and some common challenges such as tantrums, bedtime, and picky eating. Throughout the 2–week group, you will gain a better understanding of where your child is developmentally, learn ways to communicate effectively with them and strengthen the foundation of positive, effective parenting as your child grows.

Family Violence Women’s Support Group (registration on-going)
For women 18+
Have you been subjected to abuse (emotional, sexual, financial, psychological, physical, and/or spiritual) in a relationship?This group provides a safe and supportive environment for women to connect with others who share similar experiences. Guest speakers from partner agencies in the community will be included.

Managing Big Feelings 7-10 years (registration deadline November 14, 2023) For parents/caregivers and children 7 - 10 yearsDo you have a child that struggles to manage their emotions? In this 2–week group, you and your child will discuss ways tocommunicate feelings, identify what things trigger big emotions and explore ways to cope with those emotions. You will havean opportunity to connect with other parents and receive practical tools and resources to continue learning how to process different emotions with your child as they develop and grow.

Parenting Children with ADHD – Zoom Q & A Sessions (registration deadline November 15, 2023)
For parents/caregivers of children 5 - 12 years (Adults Only) Do you have a child diagnosed with ADHD, or are wondering if your child might have ADHD? This program complements our egular 2-week Parenting Your Child with ADHD Workshop. Parents/caregivers will have an opportunity to send in questions prior to the ZOOM session, at which time these questions will be discussed. This allows parents to have more access to a Parent Coach who can support them between regular workshops.

SafeTots Irricana (registration deadline November 11, 2023)
For parents/caregivers and children 3 - 5 years. Have you ever wondered if you know what you need to keep your young child safe? Can little children learn these skills? In this workshop, a Safe4Life Instructor will help you both learn about the importance of keeping private parts private and what to do if they feel an “Uh-Oh” in their tummy. Start the personal safety training early with this lively and interactive workshop aimed at preschool children.
